Accessibility Policy

This statement details the accessibility features that we have implemented to help you use our website.

Do let us know if you have any comments regard our website's accessibility or if you experience any difficulty using it.

Contact us by phone, email or live chat

We have also set up a dedicated email address so that comments can be channeled to our accessibility champions directly (we can't respond to every email, but we do want to hear from you so that we can make our site even better). A link to this is placed on every page in our footer.

We endeavour to ensure that our website meets Level A compliance as specified by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Our design and development processes use a number of automated accessibility testing tools, however we recognise that these are not as robust as expert testing.

Wherever practical for us to do so, we use minimum font and text sizes to ensure a good level of readability on our website. We carefully select text colours, font sizes and background colours to help people with a range of visual impairments.

We have provided text alternatives for non-text elements to give visually impaired and screen-reader visitors a wider range of access to our website. We've done this by providing descriptive alt attributes for them.

Our overall page structure is consistent across all of our pages with defined areas readable by screen reader technology, and has been structured so that it is as simple and logical as possible. We have provided a skip link on every page to make it easier for those visitors navigating the website without a mouse to jump to our content without having to move through our navigation on every page.

There are a small number of pages on our website that use iframes. We use descriptive titles where possible to help screen readers to make sense of the content.
