This season we take our unabashed Britishness to the heart of New York City. It’s hardly an experiment, as the Big Apple has long shown enthusiasm for our ‘Dressing Well Made Easy’ philosophy. It’s uncanny how – despite the 3,500 miles distance – Jermyn Street style fits seamlessly at the heart of Times Square.
But there’s more to this trip, as we put our overachieving clothes through the ultimate test: a day at the frantic pace of a metropolis. Crossing busy roads, rushing between appointments, long-jumping to avoid a puddle, or balancing a commanding walk with tasty bites of multicultural street food: all in an outfit that makes you look your best, remaining unfazed by the clumsiest of moves in the most hostile scenarios (cities can be vicious).
It turns out our clothes, including our new Stretch Chinos, our celebrated Non-Iron shirts, and our Travel and Commuter suits are tailor-made to endure urban life, and – might we add – painted New York with striking strokes of quintessentially British colour.
