They look nice, and surprisingly they wash well. They do wrinkle (as all linen does, there's no way to stop it). However, I always take a 34 waist and a 30 leg at CTS, but on this occasion 30 is an inch longer than it is in e.g. CTS chinos, so I'm having to pay to get them altered, which is annoying. It would be nice if one could rely on consistency in sizing. And also I've noticed that CTS chinos, and these trousers, now have plastic zips. Really? This so so tacky. Surely metal is better quality, and certainly more stylish. But, notwithstanding the above, I am pleased with these linen trousers. Lets see how the material wears. 3.5 stars.

Thank you for your feedback. I can understand your disappointment with the sizing being inconsistent and instead of you paying for them to be altered I can organise for a replacement pair to be sent to you. Would you like this? Also, I can confirm that the zip on these linen trousers is plastic due to the trousers being a lighter fabric. We will take this feedback on board as we are always looking at ways of improving our products.

Hello Marcus, thanks for your reply, and your offer of a replacement. However, I've already ordered and received a second pair, and they're exactly the same. The trousers are basically a chino in linen, and I'd expect the dimensions to be the same between a cotton chino and a linen one. I have a least a dozen pairs of CT slim fit trousers, and I've not had this problem before. This sizing difference isn't helpful, and it would be nice if one could shop with confidence, knowing that one 34W 30L would be the same between trousers as another, given that are virtually the same style. I've already paid £10 to have one pair shortened by an inch, and will be getting the second pair altered in due course. Rather than send me more trousers you could cover the cost of the alterations? And regarding the zip, as far as I can see, all your trousers except your jumbo cords have plastic zips, which used not to be the case and is a step backwards I think. Thank you
