1 week ago | This was, I thought a repurchase of chinos I purchased before but the weight of the fabric is very thin and is not the same high quality as the pants I have. Disappointing. | |||

The cut of the chinos are different than the chinos I bought about a year ago, and they're now made in China. The panel that composes the front drop (split by the zipper) felt too constraining, like I was wearing a skirt with legs. One set of slacks had a hem that was coming apart and I measured a difference of a few centimeters in the size of the waistband between two pairs of pants, despite being marked as the same size. I ordered online and returned to a storefront, at a cost of roughly 15% of what I paid -- shipping and a return fee. I've loved CT's shirts, slacks, ties, and suits for years. The quality of their products and the value that implies is what distinguishes them from other clothiers. If the quality goes, CT won't be able to sell products at any price, let alone at an above average price point, where they currently market. After shipping their manufacturing overseas, I hope they can regain their balance before it's too late. In the interim, I think I'll go look at some Hickey Freeman and Hart Schaffner Marx slacks. |

I must also apologise for the mix-up regarding the refund amount and the confusion which it caused. You are correct that a $5.95 handling fee is applied when an order is returned for a straight refund, however if you are returning for an exchange then no such charge will be levied. While we wouldn't normally refund the initial shipping costs, as a gesture of goodwill for the disappointment that has been caused here I have gone ahead and done so on this occasion. I hope you will give us a chance to redeem ourselves with a future order.
